Default where to get car weighed?

anyone know where i can get my car weighed in the atlanta area? not just general weight, but i'd like to know the distribution too. how much weight is on the front axles and the rear axles. i took out a bunch of stuff i dont need and moved some other weight around in my car so i'm curious where it stands now

I guess you can play around with a truck weight station, they charge about $10 around here.

yea that's what i was thinking, stick the front wheels on, weigh, stick the back wheels on, weigh, and take the ratio or something... was just hoping somebody had an idea that would be more accurate

When I weighed mine, I just pulled in at 230AM to a truck weigh. I dont know if there was even anyone there, but it was on so I just stopped on it, saw 3600 pounds, and left

Note: 3600 pounds with full tank of gas, all the usual in the back (spare, tools, etc) and 500 pounds between myself and a buddy

I would think you could measure each axle, might take a bit to dick around to get each axle lined up right and IIRC most truck scaled are accurate to within 10 pounds but dont quote me on that.

City dump or truck station will be good. Unless you wanna spend some money you can do it at the tracks also if you are nice to people during a track event you might work yourself in on getting your car weighed.

285 west first exit north of 20 has a Petro truck stop with an axle scale. You'll get a printed ticket with both axle weights and a gross weight

Fulton Industrial at Camp Creek has a Quik Trip, same deal.

Costs $8.

I go to the city dump. They give you a regestered weight slip at the one down here in FL.
