Default Kroon Harness

I'll be ordering a Kroon harness this weekend...
Here's why...

Can you elaborate? What’s wrong with that picture? (J/K)

Here’s some of the wiring that was in my passenger footwell. Thermoresistors for the cooling fans. My battery cables looked similar.

Default Kroon harness

I feel your pain. Mine looks about the same under my driver’s side dash and footwell . Let us know about how you make out with Kroon . If they have 50 orders they will tool up to make the harnesses for 944’s and 951’s. At least that’s what they told me last week.

I ordered and received one a few weeks ago for my '86 951 (I received the harness 12 days after placing my order). Not cheap, but a very nice product.

Which harness did you purchase? Did you have them rebuild an existing harness or did they create a new one from scratch? I will have to recreate the entire under dash harness, apparently from scratch. An arduous task which will take the better part of a year, I guess. Please excuse my intrusive questions.

Oh, you are referring to the dash harness....I ordered a new main engine wiring harness. As our cars continue to age, I think we will reach the point where all wiring harnesses need replaced. Hopefully Kroon can eventually re-create the majority of them...

Took 19 days from ordering the engine harness to shipping and receiving a tracking number.
Seems very reasonable to me.
Not really looking forward to the install.

Would you mind sharing the cost? You can PM me if you’d rather not say publicly.

Mine was something like $1500+ $95 import charges.

Cost of removing a 35 year old hacked up harness w/ SMT6 & LR replacement harnesses hanging off it AND
confidence driving the car knowing a brand new, high quality engine harness is in place - PRICELESS!!

That doesn't scare me off, honestly. I'm starting a restoration, so it's good to know that if the wiring harness looks like Chewbacca on a bad hair day that there is an option.
