Default Finally!! Pics of my speed yellow 89 951!

Ok, this is still a HUGE project, how does it look so far? It's speed yellow on black. Not bad for a stupid 16 year old kid, huh

I just took the panel off to cut the holes, I need to put the rest of the nuts on.

Cyrus - Looks great. Don't lose faith.. both threads you have going don't have a whole lot of positive remarks. It's funny, a guy named Wayne (OZ951) did his in speed yellow and got a great reaction. I think once you are done with all the black treatment, it should be pretty bad ***.

Side note, you ever think about doing white ground effects/wheels with the yellow? I wonder what that would look like?

It really looks good in the California sun and the dark glass contrast the yellow very well.

Cyrus, Your car looks great. And with the work you are doing and will probably keep doing it ill only get better and better. Stay with it, ask questions and keep moving forward.

P.S. Language is a funny thing. Suppress your tendency toward self deprecation...it tends to become habit forming and really can result in a negative self image. I worked non stop on my cars when I was 16 (and 17, and 18 and 19 and so on....I'm 50 in December -YIKES!) I had some nice cars too, but I wasn't starting with anything like a 951. You are terribly fortunate to have one and to have one as nice as yours is.

Indeed, the dark tint & speed yellow contrast each other excellently.

Love the colour! Not too certain about the window tint though. Around here that would get you pulled over by the 5-0.

Nice! Not my thing, but the car looks VERY exotic in that color--no-nonsense race color! The black windows are OK, but I like seeing at night!

Did you paint the car yourself?? What color was it before?
