Getting her ready for the Helen, GA 944 Meet!
New tires and CV axles... I'll rebuild these original units at some point.

New tires and axles installed! Also, while she received a fresh oil change while on the rack.

Time to start packing tools and spare parts for the trip...

Well, the Helen trip was a great success! I left this past Thursday morning (@2:30am) and rolled into Charlotte, NC around 6pm - spent the night at a friend's (thanks Ed & Kristen for your wonderful hospitality!!) before meeting with other friends, as part of the Helen contingent.

Reaching the Georgia border:

Part of Saturday's mountain run:

Total distance travelled: 2,379 miles
Fuel mileage: 32.5mpg

Hope to see some of you at 944Fest in Sept!

Well my friends, I just picked up another toy (actually my semi-daily driver) so I must let the Flamingo go...
She's a 2022 BMW 430i XDrive (CPO) and is quite lovely. Arctic Racing Blue Metallic Exterior with Oyster/Black interior.

Default Baton passing

Looks like a great buy Patrick. Not knowing more about the flamingo, would it be better to invest in a respray for it and dumping the’84?

Hi Rich,
Unfortunately, these early cars don't bring in much money so I don't think I'll ever be able to sell the 84' unless I give it away. I do actually prefer driving the Flamingo...
