Default spray paint for wheels

i cant find it in the searchies, but i know there was a guy that refinished his cookie cutters and had step by step pics of the paint stripping process and junk. i cant find it. does anyone recommend a certain type of SPRAY CAN clear that WILL NOT YELLOW and be decently strong enough to withstand my mighty arms cleaning them with a brush? oh and if anyone knows how the paint does, with brake dust being so bad and all.

I think the paint is called "Wurth," it starts with a W anyway. That's whay a lot of people use to paint their wheels.

What has to be done to prep the wheels and how durable is it?

I did mine in Sept. '02 with Krylon and it's still holding up good.

I just sanded it with 240 then 320, primered the bare spots and painted.

EDIT: After priming, I scuffed the primer with 400

Wurth, Duplicolor, Krylon, Rustoleum (what I used) they all work fine and with relatively little prep work unless your wheels are curb rashed badly.
There is NO need to strip them, have them bead blasted, work your fingers to the bone or any of the other over-the-top things I've read here occasionally.

There are many, many threads in the archives. Mine came out great, pretty much everyone has had success with this DIY'er job. Enjoy. It's a little bit of a PITA but worth it. You'll like your car much better afterward - I did.

when my front rotor was warped, i had tons of dust coming on one wheel.....it spotted it up pretty bad all the way through the coat. the rest of the clear coats are a little discolored and cracked looking. i just wanted to make them look tons nicer and paint the centers crests too. i can do the detail work good, its just the fact of spending the time and putting on a product that i dont know what the outcome would be. so i was hoping for proven suggestions from the reenfolk........can i say that? rennfolk?
