Question What is this?

Okay, I know it's two of the 3 plates out of an automatic transmission.

One's the dampner plate or someting? What is the other?

Thanks for any help!

Aha! Thank you!

So, is there a third piece that is missing for the complete assembly?

Nope that's all there is. Worth $700 new. Where did you find it?

I traded for them, they look in pretty good shape. Was thinking of selling them to someone who can use them!

Know anyone, or should I put it in the Rennlist Classifieds or something?

The dampener is almost priceless when you have someone that needs it now. Guess it's all in the timing.

I just sold one I had a little while back for $75.00. That was just for the damper, and the fella that bought it KNOWS he got a steal! Yeah, $700.00 on up for a new one. I've notice a couple of used ones come up on ebay for over a $100.00 starting bid. (not sure if they've sold though). The only thing "missing" would be the starter ring that goes on the flywheel, the nine bolts that hold damper on flywheel, and the retaining clip that holds the damper on the end of torque tube shaft. The other "plate" would be the torque tube coupler assy. that bolts on the end of transmissions torque convertor. But you have two complete parts right there.
AFAIK, a few shallow surface cracks in the rubber are to be expected, but any crack thats found in same position on both sides could possibly be reason to be wary of reusing it.
That reminds me, I've gotta get that flywheel I have back on ebay.

Would be nice to have an extra, do you know what you want for it?
