A guy in the local PCA chapter has a dark blue 968 and washed with that stuff...I have to say, I was impressed. A dark car shows water spots like nobody's business and the guy says he simply washed the car per the directions, rinsed it off and walked away...

Personally, I have one of those silicone "water blades" and have been very pleased with it...Knocks about 90% of the water off the car in the first pass, then it is just handling the details after that...

I received it for my birthday on Monday (the 26th), so I haven't tried it yet - but I'm excited to put it to the test; I have a black car, so I'll be able to tell right away.

Apparently that system works great from what I've heard. Try it out and report back cause I'm thinking about buying one.

It doesn't strip off nice carnuba wax, like dish washing soap, does it?? Sounds too good to be true...drip dry!

I've heard from a lot of people that it works great.

It works pretty damn good. My car's black, so it will show ANYTHING on the surface. I used the Mr. Clean thing last weekend, and only one spot had a soap streak, which wiped right off. The only problem I see with it is that it may get expensive replacing those filters and buying the "special" soap.

The key is you are using clean water (goes through their filters which probably costs a small fortune to replace) and they inject some additives to make the water run off fast from the paint surface.

I saw a neighbor use it and it really worked as advertised.

I received a gift set from my girlfriend's parents for Easter.

I'm going to try it out next weekend - my car is also a dark color so I'll let everyone know what sort of results I got.

Do a search on this in the OT forum. I did a review of it.

I washed 3 cars this past weekend with it. It worked great on the 2 Audis. My wife's A4 Avant is dark blue and came out looking great.

On the 928 it worked OK. Something about the front and rear bumper covers made the water bead up and spot in spite of the magic filter, and there were some water spots on a few other places as well. Maybe it's the 17 year old paint?

Bottom line - I'll probably continue using it on the Audis (and the other mundane cars in the fleet), but I think I'll be washing the 928 by hand.

I was impressed with it. I had a very dirty car to wash and it handled it with no problems... Apart from the spotless drying technology, I like the scented soap
