Talking I joined the "Towing Club!"

Over the winter I decided I wanted to have the benefits of towing to track events this year. I hear it is good for a few seconds a lap knowing you don't need the car to get you home from the event. A couple of months ago I bought the Tow-Hoe, a 94 Toyota Land Crusher. Today I put the last piece in the puzzle with a new trailer. It is nice to plan for track days far away and not worry about where to store the tools, track tires and beer. The most important part was storage. I'd hate to look at it in my back yard for the rest of the year, plus it would be illegal in my 'hood. I've got an uncle who lives a few miles away with ample storage, in exchange for letting him use it for his street rods. I'll have it with me at the 'Fest in the event someone doesn't survive the cruise and needs a lift home!

If you moved one of those houses to SoCal you could get $750,000 for it. Would buy a lot of trailers.

At least 350 in my neighborhood, closer to 750 depending on where you put it here too.

If you dont mind, how much did you give for the Cruiser?

Thanks much!!

The cruiser, a 94, only has 75k on it, so I splurged a bit and gave 12k for it. (Give or take.. 9k plus 3k trade for a shabby Honda van needing work) It's in a whole different league than the Tahoes, Durangos and Explorers I looked at... It is much more solid feeling. I feel a lot more comfortable with a Toyota than any of the big three.

the only person i'd worry about is the 993 not being able to survive... and well... they've solved that problem by offering the fest at their house :-P

Thanks, Chris.. SOMEBODY had to say it. I remember making that comment about Fest 03. I wasn't feeling over the top, not wanting to use flagrant adjectives such as "AWESOME" or "SPECTACULAR".. I was very down to earth at the time and felt the deepness of the affair. ((drunk)) From the core.. to the marrow.. it was an extremely DECENT thing to see the cars and people gathered as we did. I don't know if you all comprehend what I meant.. but "Decent" from the marrow means more to me than "Awesome" from the surface, ya know?

(I'm only able to provide this translation because it's Sat nite for me and I've been chatting with Mr. Dortmunder a bit)
