See.. the thing is, we already over-compensate for our weaknesses enough because we own Porsches. ;-)

Welcome aboard bro!

That leaves the middle ground which is where most of the people

I've been hitting forums for about 7 years and I agree that this is the
most mature and helpfull community I've ever found. Not to mention the
largest and fastest moving! Being large and usefull don't often mix in
the online community.
Or the Kiddies dont know about these cars.

I was driving to a job interview one day, and I saw a 944 on my way. This was just after the 240SX I wanted to buy had fallen through so I was looking again. I remember seeing the car and thinking "Holy crap thats gorgeous!" so I checked out some more pics of it to see, continued to like it, then checked buysell and discovered a 944 N/A was in my pricerange which utterly astounded me.

Lots of searching, gave up on a local N/A, imported a Turbo Prolly for about the same id spend on a new Kia or Hyundai POS.

That story sounds familiar. I was looking for a new car and a Porsche wasn't even on my list. Then I went to a movie one day and saw a 944 in the parking lot. Couldn't take my eyes off of it. Six weeks later I bought my first 951.

My '83 still looks pretty good, runs well, and doesn't have a rattle.

But THE THING is that the cars don't look outdated after 20 years.

Welcome, Wombat7.

I go to Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology not ISU. The plants aren't bad unless it rains, then you can really smell the stench... I spend most of my time on campus though which is about 5 miles east of town so I don't deal with the Hautians too much.
