Hi, Im Strictly Gravy, I like long walks on the beach cuddling by the fire....
and porsche 944's
Well, as you may have guessed, im new here. I have always had a certain affinity for porsche's ever since my roomate at Virginia Tech freshman year had a 944. it was quite a fun car, especially with the roads out there. As you may notice tho, i currently own a VW Corrado G60(with a fully built 2.0l 8v with a supercharger) as well as a 1987 Audi Coupe GT. However, when i was looking for a car when i bought the corrado, i was loving the porsche, however, my friend ended up selling his corrado to me, and i couldnt pass it up.
However, after spending 2 days with a PCA guy as well as one track day up at gingerman, and getting to go in a 944T for a ride, i fell in love. Im crunching numbers as best i can, and i will be starting to look for one. I am in no rush, but if i do find one, i will go for it. I dont know my way around the porsche whatsoever, although i do have a fair amount of wrench time on VW's and Audi's. Also, i am not a forum Noob, so you dont have to worry about me asking the same questions over and over(i kno how to use a search )
So, i'll do my best not to be a noob, but i will make sure i keep urin 2nd under wraps, he has a tendency to be kind of an
JK sean, good to see ya around again.
alright, im done(sorry it was so long)

From the link above click on the left column call "Purchasing a 944". It's from a site called Clark's Garage. He is well respected around these parts and has an awesome site full of tech articles and repair info. All around great guy.
Take Care,
Cory

Welcome, hope you find yourself a nice 951. If you can wrench on a bicycle, you can wrench on a 944, you just don't have near the clearance Buy a set of metric gear wrenches and a good 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drive set. Seems a 1/4" socket with a lot of extensions and wobbles gets used alot.
