and the whole new interior. i would post the steps but it is so easy to figure out it isn't worth writing it out. now my shifter is no longer loose, and i dont have to shove it into first. a very worthy purchase.

Thanks 944online!!

looks nice!

just curious - what is the redline of the S2 engine compared with your gauges showing a 6800 rpm redline? my S shows 6800 as well and i was just wondering if the S2 is any higher?

yeah it is definetly not higher. i think 6.4 sounds right. i havent been there yet. the S has the highest redline of all the 944's.

Thanks for the good comments.

The shifter looks good but I'm more interested in your speaker set up. It seems pretty different than what I have (4x6 POS). Did you do something tricky there? I've watched for what others have tried but dont remember anyone mentioning a flush mounted 5" that will clear the window channel. Tell us about those (please)...Bruce

well, i can only answere that with, i dont know. when i bought the car it had them. it looks like a custom plate. i also think they are 6 1/2" speakers. i could take a close up on it and post it if you would like. i cant imagine it would be too hard to do.
