Where the OGs at!?
After selling my 944…13 years ago? I’ve made my dream 911 a reality and I’m back on rennlist! Any of the old school cats still around? I have so many fond memories of early 944fest events…

That's a beautiful 911!! How long have you owned the car? Any chance you'll add another 944 to your garage in the future? I have aspirations of owning a 911 in the future. Saving for a pole barn and after that, its game on!
Plenty of long standing members still around. I've been here for 12 years, though I don't post a ton.

Good to hear that the event is still happening! Unfortunately, I’ve moved to the West Coast and it isn’t as easy to get to as when I lived in Louisville.

Speaking of long-time Rennlisters, I don't think we ever found out what happened to Mr. Greenjeans. He went from posting regularly, to nothing at all. Does anyone know? He had multiple 944s as I recall.

A lot of old timers I remember have moved on or stopped using the forum. Kind of sad but even I have considered it a few times. There’s still a few around though.

I'm only at the 10 year mark but I definitely went to lurking status as well a few years back. Log on every once in a while, trying to be more active again recently.
Seems like the Facebook groups are pretty active even for technical questions (very much hit or miss advice). May be where some people are these days.

Wow - I was literally just thinking about you the other day. Was going through some pics and found some 944Fest adventures from way back then.
I am still fully afflicted with 944-itis. I have had several 944s, 951s, a 924S, am on my second 968 and have a 944Spec race car and even have an 89 944 project in the garage. Even tried more modern ones - had a Cayenne Turbo and a Cayman S but can't pull myself away from these things.
My 'normal' car is an Alfa Romeo 4C - I wanted to step out of the Porsche for a little while to see if I was missing anything.
That 911 looks great!
These pics highlight true technological advancement in the potato camera.. haha.

I guess you’ve owned just about all of the front engined Porsches at this point? Super cool that you are still so into them. I sold my 944 to a guy in Connecticut looking for something to work on with his kids. No idea what became of it after that.
