Default Easily pulled fuse to prevent theft

Recently, there have been several car thefts where I work, and I was looking for a way to easily disable the car. Is there a fuse (or something) that can be pulled easily that will prevent a 951 from starting?

Isnt it bad to constantly pull the DME relay though? Bad for the connectors or something i thought i read. I used to do that when parking in a bad area, but have since stopped.

But then again, who wants to steal an automatic 924S?

Yeah, on the Dukes of Hazzard they always disable the bad guy's car by yanking the coil wire.

Seems easier to install a simple battery cutoff switch with a removeable key. Or a hidden toggle switch for the ignition. Then again, if they really want your car they'll just tow it away and there isn't much you can do about that.

Personally, I'd opt for the battery cutoff.

I'm not sure you'd even need to take the coil wire. Odds are the thief isn't going to take the time to pop the hood and see what's going on under there.

Isn't that under the hood? I'd rather remove something in the car.
I'll be there. I was going to go to the PCA DE last week, but I printed out my form on Friday and saw the part about needing a third party tech inspection, which I couldn't possibly get in time.

I suppose a battery kill switch is my next mod. Are there decent kits out there? If not, anybody have any good suggestions for how to build one? (Gauge of wire, type of switch, etc.)
It would also keep me from having to worry about the battery drain I can't find. (I just disconnect the (-) terminal now).

Get a factory switch to fit in the blank space near the foglight switch. Wire it to cut the ignition or fuel pump circuit.

My three liter healey had one near the battery in the boot. I understand that 928s (since they have their battery in the back) have a remote "jumper" attachment up front for connecting jumper cables, perhaps they use a battery disconect switch somewhere as well. Wouldn't it be nice to use a Porsche switch!

Hmm have about the fuse to the fuel pump it's a number 30 I think. It's not a relay and it would just act like a bad fuse so no harm. Cut off switch would be easy to make aswell. I have posted on how to make one. Cut the DME wire only one that goes to the DME relay then put the kill switch and hook the other end up back to the connection under the fuse/relay box. BTW you guys have a switch in your glove box it's on an 951 1986 doesn't seem to do anything really so I'm wondering what it is.

Just get the club. If you ever get into road rage you can also use it to defend yourself.

Better than the club: a quick-release steering wheel hub.

BTW, how difficult is it to overcome the factory alarm -- doesn't it disable the fuel pump already?

Yes the factory alarm will let the car crank but no fuel so it's not going anywhere on it's own power but if the person knows how to you can bypass it at the DME.

Which prong of the DME relay (under the hood) is the trigger wire? I assume that would be a good place to splice in a switch? It doesn't have a huge current draw, does it?
