Hey Guys,

Does anyone out there know of a good transmission shop that you can recommend in the Inland Empire of S. Cal? The 8Q tranny in my 924S Makes noise that drives me crazy. Kind of a rattling noise on decel. Any direction that you can give me will be appreciated.

Are you 100% sure it's the transmission? Sounds like it could be torque tube bearings

 

I have a bunch of rattelling going on in my car. Most of it I think is the failed matrix in the catalytic converter..when you bang on it with your hand it sounds like loose gravel inside. Check this out before committing a lot of $$ to the transmission..HTH some.

I wouldn't be certain that it is trans. noise except that I have replaced the entire drive train, except the trans, and the noise is still there. It telegraphs though both the torque tube and the trans. The engine, flywheel, clutch and Torque tube, replaced with a rebuilt unit, have all been replaced. Also, the noise stops when the clutch pedal is depressed.
