Default Same Car. Wilson.

Hi Gang! Hope you are good!! Wilson is the same car in spirit. Starting to work on again. I'm looking for an open diff S2 transaxle or maybe a 951 transaxle in GREAT SHAPE. Would have to be shipped to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Please let me know if you have leads. Many thanks!

Here is the car today. I'm sanding the body panels down, then re-paint black. Before paint there is some fixes to be made to make the fitment look better. I have un-silghtly gaps at valiance, headlamps, nose & fenders... and am thinking of using paintable body seam seal to easily close the gaps. I want to drive this summer.

That is pretty cool. You should get a picture with Wilson sitting next to a small SUV like a Subaru for better perspective.

Do you have any protection added on the underside? Skid plates or similar?

Thanks Conrad! I look forward to your painting stories.
Braymond, your idea of comparing to a Subaru suv is a great idea. Here is next to a Yaris. Even at 6" lift over NA stock, the 944 has a lower roof line. At the early stages of the build, no skid plates in the plan, but I would like some protection on the nose to protect the rad.

Hi T,
Thanks for checking in on me Brother... it's okay. Been a tough go with pet deaths recently but on the upswing now. And how are you?

Re-painted the hood and roof again in the garage. It's a "race day" looking paint job with lots of flaws, but it's a little better than the first time.

pssshhhh looks good to me. If it's single stage just wet sand it with 1500-2000 grit 😬
I'm sure it will look better than mine 😿

A bit of disassembly to finish up crossmember mods and paint the engine bay. My exterior paint is not done yet.
