The Turbo S, or M030, spindles are thicker than other spindles (including regular Turbo ones). In theory they are the strongest production spindles fitted to a 924-series car.

That said, there isn't much strong about the whole spindle design. I think the last performance cars to use a spindle on the front axle were some of the E46 BMWs. At least that had steel hubs, not the cast aluminum Porsche used.
