Talking Cup 1 do in fact fit a 924S (56k Warning LARGE Photos)

I don't think I can be happier right now! I was really worried these
wheels wouldn't fit...especially since I had three different wheel shops
that specialize in Porsche wheels all give me conflicting information on
if these wheels would fit or not.

But the proof is in the Porsche!! er, I mean photo!!

Special Thanks to Damian in NJ who went out of his way to offer me a
killer price on the wheels, cut me some slack on shipping, packed them
as well as new wheels, and for just overall having the spirit that keeps
us Porsche guys loving our cars (and looking out for eachother.

Thank you my friend, I've got a huge smile on my face...almost as wide
as this new track my rear profile has!!

Not your average 924S lookin, huh?

You didnt use spacers? Mixed emotions on the color of the wheels...sorta cool though. I am trying to buy a pair of twists off a 01' 993...sure hope those fit on my 83

Marc! That was SOOOO LOW!!

But oddly, I thought the exact same thing when it was on the lift.

Hey, for the price that Damian gave them to me for, I'll deal with the
McDonalds edition. I was thinking about pasting a Ronald Clown in the
drivers window as a joke, but I was too excited to post the pictures.

No spacers needed, they fit perfectly, as if they were made for these
fenders!! I even took them over rough tracks to listen and feel for any
rubbing and it felt clean and smooth! Honestly, I think I still want to lower
the frong a 1/2" with the springs I've had laying around for about 5 years
now.

Matt, thank you for your positive information. You were the one I think
that pushed me over the edge into buying these rims from Damian.
I was very worried they wouldn't fit. But honestly, I think I still have room
for some lowering.

Glad they fit, I think those wheels will look good on your car...... if you paint the centers: Silver, Anthricte, or Black....

but thats just me

ian, I was originally looking at doing some Phone Dials in Anthricite, but
I just love the look of Cup 1 in general. I'm not sold on yellow myself, but
hey, I've only had them in my posession for two hours...I'll figure out what
I want to do with them, if anything over the next week or so.

As they say, "I'm Lovin' It"

Maybe with silver centre caps.

Sorry for the joke.

What did you do to my wheels? How come the crest isn't pointed at the air valve? Anyway, get that straightened out, touch up the minor chips, and enjoy-aren't those centercaps freakin perfect??

One of the center caps, and one of the wheels was a bit chipped up,
but yeah, they really are sweet looking.

As for the center caps pointing towards the valves, I didn't notice that
sorry. And my buddy's shop wanted to verify the balance and the fit
on the hub to make sure everything was 100%.

Man does this track stright!!

I guess I should mention, that the PO sold me the car with one phone
dial severly wobbly, and one just barely able to be balanced. So whenver
I took the car over 60, the rear end would shimmy and the steering
wheel would vibrate. I'm sure it kicked the hell out of the shocks....at
every least.

Now, when I was on my way home from my friends shop...WOW, I was
down the on ramp and at 85 before I even knew it! Smooth as glass!
And I rode on the (Chicago) highway for about a whole mile without
touching the steering wheel once on the way home. The tracking is
just ballz on straight and wide!

One thing that does bug me a bit, is I can for sure feel the weight
difference. These wheels feel noticably heavier then the Phone Dials.
Granted, I have more hookup off the line (not that the 924S really lets
go off the line), but I can for sure feel a weight difference over the whole
car. I'm a bit nutty sensitive with any changes to my car...hell, I can feel
the difference in how the car feels depending on which way the wind
is blowing!!

A bit too ricer? Or would it balance the yellow off?
