Here's some things I clipped out of Rich's old posts:
ADD-ON cars! There are 4 - make sure you have them all!
ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/ea/patches/nfs.../gt2install.exe
ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/ea/patches/nfs.../gt3install.exe

And:
Porsche Unleashed (PC) ERROR - How do I make Porsche Unleashed work with Windows XP?
Question:
How do I make Porsche Unleashed work with Windows XP?
Answer:
Basically, this is a compatability settings issue:
First off, enter the directory "C:\Program Files\EACom"
right click on the file called "buddy.exe" and scroll down the little menu to the properties tab and left click it and it will bring up a compatibility window:
*Select the compatability tab and select win 98 compatibility then click apply.
*You MUST do the same procedure to "EAAskUpdate.exe" &; "EAUpdate.exe"
If you get a weird error about "autopatch file is corrupt........" enter the directory you installed PU to, and then enter the directory called ".castanet" Delete the entire contents of that directory and copy the contents of the ".castanet" directory from your NFS5 (Porsche Unleashed) CD back into it.
Now run PU and make it go get the update, it should now launch the little program when PU goes back to the desktop, restart game. You should be good to go from here.
And:
Porsche Unleashed (PC) VIDEO – Game will lock up on the Normandy track.
Question
Game will lock up on the Normandy track.
Answer
If the game is locking up in the middle of races and you have a Nvidia based video card, this issue may be related to having the lens flare option turned on.
To change the setting's do the following.
1) going into the option menu and click on the graphic details.
2) now choose advance details.
3) click on lens flare and change it from high to none.
Changing this option should resolve this issue.
And the last one:
HERE IS THE PATCH FOR VERSION 3.5 - I've just uploaded it to my personal webspace and tested it myself. It works 100%...

High def pack?
The problem with online games is that anytime you modify one person's game - everyone else who's playing has to have the exact same thing - otherwise you can't play. It's easiest if everyone's game remains completely stock - or completely upgraded anyways.

Harry - A modded '95 911 Turbo is the faster than a modded 996TT. The 996TT understeers a lot more than the 993 turbo. (must be the 4WD)
And nothing can touch the GT1. It's faster than every car on any track by at least 5-10 seconds.
How come you haven't dropped in on any of our games yet?

944pete's links don't work. The cut & paste didn't preserve the full links. All the DL cars are available here:

I think I've changed my mind though. I'm going to work on models for Live For Speed.
