LOL.. It's a beautiful pair of pictures from Chrenan's Driver's ed events he did in his beloved 944 Turbo from 2011 and 2021. You can see all the improvements over 10 years from the car to the safety equipment at the track. Often a photographer will take pictures at a DE event, and obviously some photographer has been using this vantage point for 10 years! He's showing us how long he has been working on improving on the "Nut holding the wheel".

Great explanation from one of the rennlist 944 OGs! Couldn't have said it better myself.

  1. A strut brace. Seriously. This has saved my back, gave my clamp-on light something to hold on to.
  2. Coffee cup holder.
  3. Headrests.

On the topic of Saratoga roofs...

I've seen various threads about getting them from Pilkington Classic (no longer around?) and doing group buys...

This looks like it here. Anyone have any experience with this version? Is it the same thing?

From their site,
Fits 1982-99 manual or electric
What? There were 1999 944 models?
Not sure I trust that.

In no particular order:
  • New shifter linkage and front lever assembly
  • Standalone ECU tuned for modern 93 octane fuel
  • Euro bumpers! For a USDM model
  • Dashboard restoration
  • Good quality speakers and head unit
  • Slightly hotter camshaft
