Does anyone know anything about the porsche rennsport reunion 2 in Daytona FL? I know it is april 23-25, It is 30.00 a day and 60.00 for the weekend. But what goes on there? The daytona speedway website is pretty vague on the description. www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com
I guess the last one was at lime rock park in connecticut in 2001,

Its the Nirvana for Porsche lovers. There will be some Euro-cars from across the pond that you will never see anywhere else. It kinda like Bike Week for Porsches!

I've been going to Daytona since 1970 and have seen most of those cars race there but the absolute best thing I can rember (many lost brain cells in the infield) are the mech. fuel inj. 911's running together in the early to mid 70's. Full song at the top of 3rd gear just before they pulled 4th up on the banking with about 4-5 cars in a group. It's just about the most fun you can have, with youe clothes on!!

I was trying to plan to go, but couldn't find anybody that wanted to split a room or anything....too expensive to cover it all myself with moving later this year. Argh!!!!! I love 962s and all the older racing Porsches....would love to be able to go.
