I really like the look of the new Mustang. I haven't liked the look of it in a long time. My first car was an '81 Mustang, one of the worst years for it. Ugly as hell, the furthest thing from a "sports car"....then I drove my stepfather's '94 Mustang GT....fast yes, but cheap interior and boring.
I've been watching the 2005 Mustang from the sidelines, and this past weekend I got to see one in person at the car show...absolutely beautiful. Mind you it's not the production version, nevertheless, I must say I was impressed.
Check out a photo I took.

Brendan and Rich... I saw that exact prototype this past January at the DC Auto Show... incredible in person, isn't it?

Yes, it's still live (solid) axle. The drag racing crowd wanted to keep it that way; Ford said "ok, that'll make it cheaper."

I must say that GTR concept looks amazing! I'd rather gave a truck-mounted tail spoiler, but I can over look the tall one that's on there now... small detail. Can you imagine taking THAT to the track?! WEEEEE

I like..Especialy on the race car, I hope Ford dumped the live axle. I am a fan of most serious performance cars and happen to like the new Mustang.

sorry- I have always liked Mustangs- I've owned 3. I really like the new iteration- pulls in the "roots" of styling.
I'd give the styling an 8 out of 10 and cant wait to drive one to see tha performance difference.

The downside- they are awful driving in snow.

This thing screams 1970 Trans Am Boss 302 if we're going to compare it with anything.
?? am i missing something, 302 is a ford motor, 305 is a pontiac...unless they did something special in 1970?

ooohhh we talking race circuit here?

Pure race car. Very nice! I love the styling of the new 'Stang. It clearly takes a big chunk of its DNA from my favorite Mustang of all, the '67 Shelby.

Na, you're not missing anything. By the way, in stock form, a 302 is a Ford or a Chevy, a 305 is a Chevy, and Pontiac made a 301, and the "R" in GT-R stands for "retro". The nose resembles a 69 not a 70. It was the only pre 80's Mustang with 4 headlights. It was also the original platform for the Mach I, Boss 302 and Boss 429. Is this a Porsche web?
