Default 951 rear valance

I'm going to install a valance on my car and I don't want to drill into the quarter panels, I twas thinking of removing the studs and using spoiler tape, while using all the existing mounting holes on the bottom of the valance, what do you think?

If that doesn't work, then you don't have anything to use to attach them to the car.

Drilling isn't that bad if you take your time and use a centre punch so your drill doesn't run away on you.

Drill 'em through the quarter panels. If you want, get some cold galvanizing paint to slop in the holes and then put a bead of silicone RTV around the inside and outside of the holes. There will be no rust after that treatment.

you will have the holes under the car for the lower bolts, but the four in the lower quarters you need to drill. The valance weighs too much for any tape that you will use and it will fall off w/ water and such coming in contact w/ it.

I put one on a 85.5 that I put back together for a buddy. The lower holes are already there. What I did, on the side studs, put a drop of paint on the ends of the studs. Line up the bottom ones, and lightly touch the studs to the body. Take a look at it while you are holding it up to make sure that you have it alinged. It is best to have a person helping that can hold the bottom up for you. The paint drops will leave a mark on the body. Take a small punch , tap then drill.
