Default Tech weekend in Hunstville

This is to anyone in the Huntsville area that would like to get together to do some wrenching on their 944. I'm hoping for a group but would be happy to spend some time helping anyone. I'm trying to build a group of 944 owners for support or just to hang out and drive.

I've got a serious spelling malfunction tonight...it should read "Huntsville".
Sorry about that.

I'm only a hour or so from Decatur/Huntsville too. All my family and the wife's family are there so I'm up there a lot.

Lets all meet at my house Saturday and try and figure out why my 944 will not run. I'm joking about meeting at my house, but I'm serious about the 944 will not run. I believe I am going to have to find someone with more testing equipment than I have. Bryan, are there any repair shops in the Birmingham area that are good with 944's???. I don't know of any in the Huntsville area, might have to tow it to Birmingham.

I'm 230 miles away from Huntsville. Anyone know why the Heart of Dixie region didn't have Dixie Tech this year?

There are at least 3 here that I know off. Eurasia auto is downtown. The owner is the tech for the Birmingham PCA. I had him put in a new clutch when I first bought my car. He's good.

The other 2 places are in Pelham.

Munich Sport specializes in German cars. I've not used them yet for service but I get a lot of parts from them. I'm pretty good friends with the 2 guys that run the place. I think that there is a waiting list for service. Everytime I drive by the place is packed with cars. The owner is the prez of the BMW club.

I can't think of the name of the 3rd place right now. Never used them either. Heard that they were real expensive though. Leather couches in the waiting room kind of thing.

Of course then there is the dealership here too.

Great...more responses then I thought would happen. At the least we should get together for a Saturday drive. I need to work my schedule and figure out when I can do this. I will PM soon.

Some buddies and I will be in the pattern... look up BTW, HSV now has a huge runway! 12,600'!

On 65 I go right past Huntsville every other weekend or so on my way to Nashville. It would be nice to meet up with some of you guys at a resturant some Sunday on my way back to Columbus!

Thanks for the information Bryan. Not sure what I am going to do to get this thing going.
David,
Phyllis and I often take my TR6 an drive Tennessee backroads. Have been to Tullahoma, Shelbyville, Lynchburg (Jack Daniels). Some great hilly roads to drive and beautiful scenery, especially in the fall with leaves turning and all the color. Shelbyville has some beautiful horse farms. We will often take roads and have no idea where they go, no maps, just drive and see where they go.
Micah, I live close to I-65, you will have to stop by sometime.

The roads are really fun after the Jack Daniels just kidding, I don't drink and one should never drink and drive.

There are some fun roads around.
