I have a friend with over 300K on his 944 and another friend around 295K. They'll run forever if you keep the windows shut.
lol oh man, you guys know how to cheer me up after these pics I took today.

About the 944 with over 300,000 on it, I love to hear that stuff. A German mechanic in Albany first told me when I bought the car that "These car's are bullet proof" Just as long as you take car of them, (and yes of course, keep the windows shut!)

Miles mean nothing its all about the care and the owners, there are some very nice early N/A's out there with 200K miles.

The 300K car belongs to nine-44 here on the forum. It's an '87 or '88 I think, with no sunroof.
The 295K car belongs to Wade B. here on the forum. It looks almost brand new and it's still on the original clutch!
Here's Wade's car:

Oh baby, I hope MY car looks half as good as that one at 300,000
And on the ORIGINAL clutch!? I should have taken driving lessons from HIM

Love the rims. Are those the club cup ones? I like Millie Miglia's "Turbo Twists" (No idea on the spelling)

Do you know if he had his car repainted, or if he just waxed it often?

As far as I know it's original paint except for the nose. A deer committed suicide on the front of his car.

These cars will last if taken care of and up to date on everything. If you think any car can last well over 300,000 just depends on the on the make, model, and how the owner takes car of it. Just look an old Ford and an old Porsche of the same year. If the Porsche had an owner that didn't care about the car and never took care of the car the way any car should be taken care of and it has been parted out by now because there was to much problem with it. Then look at the old Ford which the guy took care of since day one didn't everything on the car even replaced parts that didn't fail yet before they had a chance to and cost more damage is still running. I don't like Fords but hey it will last if the owner takes car of it.

seb's right. It all depends on the owner. If someone is stupid and just buys a 944 to say "Look, I have a Porsche" Then they're stupid and their 944 shouldn't even be considered a Porsche. They disgrace the name we work hard to maintain. =]

RacingPorsche,

Stop by Deman Motorsport (in Nyack, NY) to check out some gorgeous cars. Also a great mech if you need anything done. http://www.demanmotorsport.com

Stop by Deman Motorsport
adrial, Rick Deman is a good guy. He did my clutch.

Deman Motorsport does a great job of advertising. They race at Porsche track events, and win. Since they specialize in racing Porsches, those who don't like how they finished in the race (behind them) come to them to get some work done!

Also, he sold me my used transmission for a very reasonable price. I've never experienced smoother shifts. The syncros are great!
