Default Tire shop damaged the rocker panel

Can't say I am happy about this. Shop has acknowledged the damage and I already contacted the insurance company. Is this a simple replacement piece? It looks to be integrated into the chassis.

If you are referring to the gouge in the metal, yes, that is a replaceable portion, but would be expensive. IF it's not too bad, perhaps just a small cut and weld of new sheet metal, then repaint?

any crushed metal or just a ding from the lift?
a smear of bondo would cover that.

Scratched straight up from the bottom.

Well they are the one paying for the damage so I am not worried about cost. I am more worried about fixing it properly.

IMO, but it'd be way overkill to cut any metal for a minor ding like that.
A little bit of bondo, sand, and paint (which the rest of the rocker looks like it could use) will get you on your way.

That is not a replaceable piece. Cutting and welding would do more damage than good, and, if you cut it open you'll likely find rust and be opening a can of worms.

Hard to tell how big the dent it, could be pulled out with glue or welded pins, but more likely just putty and repaint.

Curious if the car is roughly centered on the lift - considering the lift is probably designed to handle much wider cars, I wouldn't think the arm would need to be bottomed out like that. But maybe it's an older lift that's narrower.

just ask him for $500 and call it a day. you could put some bondo and duraguard (rough finish at bottom from factory) and paint but as already pointed out matches the rest of your rocker panel (paint worn through).

The rocker panel is replaceable and Porsche can supply the part. However the work involved to replace it just because of that ding is not justified. Take it to a respectable body shop and see what they say and charge.
