Default Supercharged 924S

Does anyone else have a supercharged 924S?

It seems to be surprising a lot of people that i have been able to supercharge my '87 924S. It was a lot less costly than going with the turbo plus i wanted to keep the engine NA. Does anyone else have a supercharged 924S? Even the people i bought the supercharger kit said that they have not seen it on a 924S but they have put the kit on a few of the 944's.

Any questions, comments, or sugestions on upgrading a 924S i would be glad to hear them.

So far i have the supercharger installed, MAF kit, bursch headers, and just ordered SFR Hi-Flow Cat and Exhaust. Next up the fuel system.

Hmmm never seen anyone do it, no reason you can't since it's the same engine as a 944 NA. Got any pics of the engine bay?

Hey, how does adding a supercharger keep the engine NA?

the supercharger helped a lot.. stock the car puts out 147HP with the supercharger it gets 210HP and still gets excelent gas milage unless i floor it.. then you can definately feel the power diffrence.

all it is doing is forcing more air into the engine, increasing its existing hp right?

but it is not N/A anymore, you are now in the FI world, supercharging is just another form of FI (forced induction).....

But I do think its a good way to go, who did you get the supercharger from ?

ok.. maybe i am a little confused on the NA aspect of the engine..
refresh me and what does NA mean? does it mean nothing can be modified on the engine to keep it NA?

Yeah, but the fact that it's forcing in more air means it's not normally aspirated anymore. I think you probably meant that you wanted to avoid turbo lag, right?

NA means normally/naturally aspirated, so no forced air.

Edit: holy crap you guys are fast!

No, a MAF kit allows the air to flow with less bottle necks, the factory barn door AFM (air fuel meter) is very restrictive, by going with the MAF you allow more air to flow, the supercharger is creating a situation where more air is stuffed into the motor than could be sucked in by the NA motors intake stroke......

There have been many debates on the board about Turbo vs Supercharges if you do a search I think it might be helpful for your understanding, I would do a full write up, but i'm going to call it a night....

So what is the system? Did you buy a SC kit from someone, or did you put it together yourself?
