Default Simple Oil Filter Question

I've searched here for an oil filter cross reference chart with no luck.
Does anyone have a part number for Pure One and Mobil 1.

I know the OEM are the filter of choice but sometimes I just don't have one and would use the either of the above brands in a pinch.

Thanks

Mobil One and Amsoil are my filters of choice, not OEM.

Thanks Guys,
I ended up using a Mobil 1. I still like the Pure Ones because of the great price at Wal Mart but couldn't find one on short notice today. I threw away the 3 Fram 6941's long ago that came with the 83 after reading what junk they were.

One interesting thing I found in Europe was that the oil filters sold by the dealer with the "Porsche" logo on them were Made in USA and cost a whopping 14 Euros.

I suspect they were Purolators which I can buy in the U.S. at Pep Boys for $7.49

Been using STP filters, can't remember the number right now, but pretty good and have the anti back flow valve in them.

I liked the Mobil 1 filters, but after buying out the local Autozones, they never restocked them. I ended up buying Mahles off the internet.

O'Reilly's carries a Wix oil filter, but it's about $15.

I think they're ok. The only ones available at parts stores around here are STPs and Manns.

The STPs worry me a little that they would be constructed well. I might be way off-base, and I've used one when I couldn't find any alternates, but it's still not my first choice.

The Manns are definitely constructed differently than the Mahles. You can see it when you look inside them by comparison. Since I think the Mahles are OEM, I just elected to use them.

In the Haynes 944 manual pg91 it show a picture of a metal washer that is suppose to go over the oil filter boss. They refere to it as a gasket. Is this one required? When I purches a Porsche filter it comes with one but Mahle filters do not have one with them.
