Pro Tecnik comes to mind but there is Viking Motorsports, EuroCarWerk, and others. Depending on what you want done the guys there know how to do almost all of it. What yr. and model is it?

We're here, but we're all on spring break. Come back next week Dorothy - and bring your little dog too!

Just kidding - what ya want to know? Matt answered most everything. I like ProTechnik in Stafford - Viking is in the same complex - he's cool too! Stay away from German Autohaus (are they still in business?). If you need door handles changed you've come to the right place (as long as it's not Saturday or Sunday or Sunny in Yoakum).

I put this on one of the Forums, but I thought I'd add it here.

NOTE: NO AFFILIATION. I JUST FOUND THIS GUY AND LIKE HIS WORK.

Check out Lawell Motor Sports (LMS) at 3708 Las Palmas (just off Richmond, inside the loop). Terry Lawell runs a great little shop and works on just about every high performance vehicle, including lots of Porsches. Honest and very reasonable.

When I lived there, he helped me a lot, and I have a friend with a 944 and 928 that continues to use him.

Phone number is (was): 713-871-1040.

What do you want to upgrade exactly? The stock wtuff works fine. If you want the nice hoses, I think Pauer is out of them but depending on where you are Brian would let you see his new ones :>)

I would suspect the grounds much more so than the fuel system. The Lindsey stuff is nice but WAY overpriced. One of the guys in houston is looking at having them made in billet.

Which SC kit do you have? Got any pics?

i was looking at the grounds too.. but they check out fine.. before i had to press the gas in every time i started the car for it to turn over.. and when i replaced my old fuel pump with the new one.. it worked better.. but it still seems like there is not enough fuel going to the engine when i try and start it up.. i have to press the gas in for the car to start up in the morning.. but if it has been running already.. i dont need to press the gas in.. i am also trying to replace the filter.. but the damn lines are stuck on there tight.... so i am going to order new lines and fittings and replace them anyways.. because i can see them starting to crack.

I was going to ask about the fuel filter, but I see you addressed that with your last post. It's been my experience these cars suffer the "out-of-sight, out-of-mind" when it comes to people replacing fuel filters. The last two I've pulled off had very heavy nasty crap in them, so with any luck your problem is right there.

We're spread out all over town. George, Kevin, and James are on the north side. Keith is in Katy, Alok is in the medical center, David is southwest and I'm in Clear Lake. We haven't all gotten together since January, when pretty much everybody came to my house to help me eat my hamburgers and swear at my p/s rack. There are others that frequent the boards I haven't met yet, like eclou and p0wp0w.

I'd like to see that s/c kit sometime. Hell, bring the car by and I'll help you swap out that filter.
