Default Confessions of a Mullet...

I took my friend Don out in the turbo two days ago. Don drives a 1997 30th Anniversary Z28. We just went down a staright away right near my house, b/c I didn't have my tag on yet, and I didn't want to get pulled over. So I hit it pretty good in first, and held boost through second. We did that both ways down the street. I asked him what he thought, he said this, word for word. "Man, you know I like speed....I almost jizzed myself!!! Where do I get mine!!!"

Now he wants one too.

Cool!

Must be nice to live out in the country, not in a residential neighborhood like I do with a 25mph speed limit, kids, dogs, cats, squirrels, etc..........

I pretty much do live in the city, but we very very near the country. The speed limit was 55mph, and I don't even think I broke that. I haven't even taken the turbo up past 70mph yet.

Here 80 mph is about the speed of normal freeway traffic in the left lane. The only time I ever don't go past 80 on my daily commute is if it's raining or if traffic is heavy.

Yeah, a good cruising speed for the fast lane on the major highways is about 130km/h (or about 80mph) here too. If you're not going that fast people will start tailgating you and try to pass. Many people go even faster probably closer to 140km/h or so. I typically don't go over that 130 mark, and in fact sometimes I do just 120 since they almost never pull you over for 120 in a 100.

I hit an indicated 130mph in my 911S the other day in an 80kph (50mph) zone on the highway... yeah, I'm going to hell but before that happens, I'm going to enjoy life! Kids: don't try this at home, professional driver on closed course, yadda, yadda...

Of course the above speeds were all "indicated" speeds nonetheless.

What's with all the goofing-around threads today? Oh...it's Friday!
