Default Nice Phone Dials

I just found these on ebay, they are not mine and i don't intend on bidding on them. Sorry to anyone who is/was I just thought these looked nice. I think i may have seen a picture recently of some others like this. How does one do this? I didn't think PD's polished out at all?

I'd love to hear peoples thoughts on if they like them, and how one does this?

Thanks!

Erich

I think they look better with a polished lip. I think the black looks good.

Yea i totally agree! That black with the lip looks really good IMHO. I just didn't know one could do that...or HOW one would go about doing that.

The reason i ask is i have a set of turbo PD's i bought that need some cosmetic work.

Thanks!

Sand, primer, black paint.

I'm not sure on the polishing part.

Scuba - I don't know how this would look if it matched the body. Sometimes that can look really nice, other times rice. But with the lip polished i think it would look much better than just solid black PD's.

BTW- Some of the guys on the list are great with photoshop if you have a pic of your car with the regular PD's you can see what it'll look like with all different colors...

Ok, thats what I thought. Polishing the edges should be no big thing.

Is there a procedure for this floating around? Or has anyone done this before?

Thanks!

here's a pic of black phonedials with a polished lip on a black 924S (i almost bought this car, but mileage was too high.)

i intend to paint the original 15's which came on the car (which i only use for auto-x) this way. i think it's quite an aggressive look for the car. but i'm definately sticking with wurth silver laquer when i refinish the 16' phonedials which i use for the street.

I have been debateing on painting my phone dials white. I just bought the car from a college student and i don't think he ever cleaned the pd's. The brake dust is thick.
