If we ever do a thread on vendors with an inordinate amount of customer complaints, they've definitely been on that list for a long time.
Sorry you've had a bad experience with them.

goes like this....ordered a set of wheels, gave him my credit card.... salesman told me it would be 6 weeks and that i had to sign an authorization form which he then faxed... the form, once signed waived my right to dispute, tacked on an exorbitent shipping/handling charge, and included a 25% restocking charge.....i didn't sign....i called and cancelled....the wheels arrived 5 weeks later....i refused them and he billed me $936......all facts that can be documented.......pretty simple......anything you may hear to the contrary is pure fabrication..... BTW the wheels were shipped direct from the factory and never touched by Windward....price $2700 +/-.... shipping and handling $300 +/-....when they were returned they were sent to another customer of theirs....

From issues that other 'listers have had the past, I gather that the principal/owner is a real hard nosed individual, to say the very least.
As they say in the racehorse auctions, "caveat emptor" (buyer beware).

Wow, so let me get this straight you could have had the wheels for $936? That sounds like it would have been a steal
I'll look for my copy of the faxed document on thursday or friday!

One thing always rings true:
Bad business is a secret never easily kept. And only a good businessman knows bad business never pays long-term.
