Default Quarter Panel Replacement Q

Question for the handful of people here who may have replaced a quarter panel.
On the joint where the quarter meets the rocker, and in the rear, there's a visible seam. The panels overlap each other and they are spot welded, but do you do anything to the edge of the panel other than seam sealer?

Thanks,

My car came with that seam bondoed over on the passenger side because it was replaced. I also had to fix rust in that location because it wasn't done well.

I think seem sealer only. I also have this project in front of me. That joint looks very complicated so I am thinking I will buck weld along the side rather then deal with it.

I did this job myself I just could not imagine that this car was a total. I bought it for $2500.. Once i bought a really nice spot rivit drill and figured out that my snap on 1/2 " air drill somehow worked way better that any other drill that I had it was easy job. The air drill turned the bit slow and had so much torque. wouldnt have thought
The car had less than 60,000 miles

I need to talk to you. You took the entire wheelhouse from the donor, both inner and outer? My project:

Hey Jeff no worries. I put this out there so its possible to see how its is not hard. Its kind of fun. peel off from the outside all the crumpled call it good then peel from the inside on the donor untill it mirrors.
Man I had to stop picking up these cars. I live in the city and live on a boat. I have six 944 style cars and now i have to buy a home just to have a place to put them all in.. Part of me says your getting time to loose the attachment.
I got a new Honda Oddysey and that thing is like a chinook helicopter. Hard to drive a 944 with that thing around.
I did just pick up this 968. Someone had it for about 90,000 miles did nothing to it. I just rebuilt gearbox new LSD and all the engine stuff I dont know why I bought it. I also have a really cool 91 S2 that I got from Japan and a really cool 924S SE.
got them stached in the neighborhood. I forgot where I had this one parked the other day and had to drive all around till I found it. Check it out WP0AA2967RS820730
