Default Reconditioned injectors where to buy

I am trying to narrow down a hard start condition on my 1989 S2 when the engine has sat for several hours. This condition started after a couple of injectors were replaced when they cracked on removal last year. I installed used injectors and was not able to find a shop in town who could test them. Believing one or more injectors could be the problem I am looking to replace them all with known good/ rebuilt and tested injectors. Would anyone know where I can pick 4 up?

Sending them to WitchHunter is an option. I was very happy with their service. But first make sure that the injector wiring is good as it is easily damaged from being disturbed after 30 years.

Have had excellent service with SouthBay Fuel Injector Service. They retested my fuel injectors for no cost when I had issues with a no start engine condition.

They don’t list any on their site for the S2.

I have had excellent results with Automods in North Liberty, Iowa. Good people there.

give em a call.
searching the net suggests the 89 S2 uses a ~25lb injector with 2.2 ohm (low impedance) coil.

Fiveo should be able to suggest something that will work, or they have the capacity to make any kind of injector you like.

I think I have 4 used S2 injectors laying around, one of which I recall is stuck. I can sell and ship them for a reasonable price.

I hope to make some calls tomorrow, thanks for all the suggestions. I’m looking for rebuilt or known good, balanced injectors I can simply install when I get my car back from winter storage in April.

In 2017, I used Toronto Injectors to check and clean mine.. very happy with the result & cost effective (CDN). Around a hundred bucks... they replaced some little parts inside, ultrasonic clean, testing (with video & report), and applied clearcoat. Andrey at 416.839.9235

Hard start after sitting could be the system not holding fuel pressure after shutdown. Any other symptoms? High rpm miss? If the car runs normal after start up, I am not sure that points to the injectors. I am a shade tree mechanic though.

There are no other symptoms at all and on the second start the car runs perfect.

This started last spring when I changed my AOS, removing the old injectors caused the old plastic to break and as such I replaced the broken injectors..the problem started after this.

It is a bit of a shot in the dark but as the injectors are 30 years old and one was replaced with a used injector I would like to throw in a known good set. (And hope that’s my issue)

My experience with used injectors or rebuilt one's with no test results have not been good. Is the used injector match the other 3 in low impedance, resistance pulse coil or is it high resistance which would upset the firing? Low impedance coils are for 944 and 951 and not sure for 944S2 but all four need to have the same impedance to properly function.
