Just don't keep your face to close to that steering wheel! I am 6'7'' and i fit just fine in my Plain Jane 924S interior. I keep the seat all the way back most of the time.

I think i'm the tallest guy driving one of these little cars

My future father in law is about 6'6'' and he drives a 968 cab, to make it more comfortable for him he ditched the seat rails and bolted the factory drivers seat to the floor boards. He does that in a lot of his cars...he's more upper body than legs

Anyway, to each their own! Get in and see what you think...

Goodluck!

I'm 6'2" and do not have any problems with the stock seats (unless you count when I hit those New Orleans potholes and bounce into the roof...OUCH!).

A little more info: i'm pretty well proportioned. I wear a 34/35 inseam and size 16 shoe. I've been as heavy as 235 lbs and maybe gonna get heavier if I can get to the gym a little more.

I like the idea of bolting the seat to the floor, I didn't know that was possible. I also really like the Sparco Ring wheel (its D shaped).

Are there RS style door panels or do the stock door panels lay flat against the door anyway?

Ideally I'd be looking at an 88-89 951 if I decided to go the coupe route instead of looking for a roadster. The problem is that I dont really think i'm gonna be tracking the car and am more interested in having a fun weekend cruiser. Track days every now and then are not out of the question, but I'm not seriously looking to mod this car. Mods needed to make more room are more acceptable but I have a track car that requires more attention.

At 6'3" I've fit fine in both an S2k and a 951. Thought with the top up, the S2K was a bit cramped with me and another 6'3" guy.

Alex,

Me too. I'm 5' 4". Even with the seat all the way forward, I have a little trouble pushing the clutch all the way in. Still a comfortable car, though.

Im defaming you of your trophy, I stand at 6'7 and 1/64" tall. I drive a 78 924 and fit well other then need to switch to a smaller wheel and remove my shoes while driving (size 16 feet so wide my shoes won't clear between the pedals) The car is suprisingly roomy, I switched to Corbeau GTS seats and found my old seats were actually lower then my new seats.

I am 6' 4" and 250 pounds (shoes size 11) I find my 924 very comfortable and roomy with the standard wheel and the seat all the way to the rear

Erich - what you are witholding is that you only weigh 127 pounds and have to run around the shower 3 times to get wet.

You cannot bolt the factory seat to the floorboard, if you remove the rails there are only holes left in the seat bottom, this requires drilling through the floor (dont do this) and screwing them in from the bottom. You could probably get a set of Sparco style sliders/rails and lower the seat but to be honest your best bet if that is a problem is to get a set of aftermarket seats.

My F-I-L is 6'4" and he has no problem, even commented on how much room there was for a "little sports car."

Thanks! Actually i weigh about 240...i've been storing up the fat for the long Rochester Winter!

Matt- I don't know the details behind what exactly he did, but i do know he did lose function of the seat sliding feature. So my assumption would be the direct bolt to the floor boards. Not sure though, if you're interested i'll ask him a little about it...

I would LOVE to know how he did it. I have a set of aftermarket seats that have the exact problem he would have bolting them to the floorboard.
