Thats a hard question, was the car running properly? Do you have any idea this could have been left this way...? I can only hope too much crap and sand crap didnt get in there..
I would think changing the oil would be the best thing to do before cranking over that engine, if its been driven like that.

it seemed to run fine for me, the month or so i drove it since I got it.. I know i know, i should've checked this first thing.. but you know the, young kid, first porsche, having fun syndrome.

Ugh!
Hope it wasn't off the car for too long. . . and it wasn't too dirty / dusty where you are. I still think the cones are a complete waste of $$$, but that's just me - do what you want.

Porsche has a tech bulletin about the snorkel coming from the timing belt case. There is a cap and clamp that is at the Porsche dealer for the fix. If some of you have the PET or parts reference catalog, I believe it may be Bulletin #5 in the 924/928/944 book.

know where i can get a breather like that? any sites online? thanks. hey fty, howd you mount the cone there? looks like you just have something sticking in teh front of the cone? or does it ogo back ot the afm?
