Conrad,
Will you be welding the fenders onto the car?

Do you mean for the GT2 flares? I plan to keep them bolt on but still need to cut the wheel wells and lips. I'll take some pictures of that when I get it done. After seeing pictures of these flares I personally like them bolted on better than molded but a part of me thinks I should of just got the 2" wider quarter panels and fenders for a more streamline look.
I still like them a lot but always hard to decide the direction I want to take with this build. I know I want an RS/Outlaw style build but as you know everyone has a view of what that looks like lol.

Yeah, 2 inches wider is 4 inches wider.
That'd look pretty good.

Lip is on still need to trim fiberglass lip where it meets the lip I just added, refit front bumper and trim metal for widebody. Starting to take shape though. Hoping to paint this winter or spring.

Here's another... I think once I tighten up the gaps, trim the metal, trim the fiberglass a little and paint her, she'll look pretty nice.

Got these babies in yesterday

Out with the old

Remove the metal arm

Latches perfectly

Ready to go... I kept the panel off as the headlinder was starting to sag a bit but if I wanted to use it I would need to notch it a little for the clasp to work fully. Probably going to leave it off since I'm doing a outlaw style build. I'll just paint the sunroof and maybe make a lighter nicer cover. I'll probably go back and remove the rest of the internals and all the sunroof motors and assembly pretty soon.

They are the Broadfoot Racing GT2 flares... There was a 2 week wait time and are made really well versus most fiberglass parts I've used in the past.

Not much done since last post. Front fenders have been cut for the flares and the flares have been trimmed and fitted to the front bumper. Just bought our first home so hopefully after Christmas there will be more updates. Especially since now I have my first garage lol.

Looking good! And congrats on the new home and garage.

Those rear wheels went from poke to tuck with the flares. You’re gonna need some spacers to dial in stance. Speaking of those wheels, I noticed they also sell 17x8.5/10 sets and I’m thinking those might sit pretty well on my 87. You have 18x11 rears, right?

Those flares look like a quality piece of kit. Are those 18x11 in the rear? Wide rims. Definitely bad ***. I almost bought a set of used rims in that width until I checked tire prices

Ya I am running the 18x11 rears currently. Going to get wider tires on next time so it will help the spacing but like u mentioned probably spacers for now. Car is just for street currently. Plan on doing a v8 swap this summer if I can finish collecting the needed parts.

Ya the tires can be pricey, I put cheap lionhearts on for now since it's just on the street. I believe it was about 600 before mounting.
