Default 1988 944 Celebration Coin

If anyone has one laying around or a lead on one, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Thanks. Bill

In the middle of this thread (https://rennlist.com/forums/924-931-...88-coin-2.html) user MPH says he has contact info for a guy in the UK who had 2 for sale as of last year. Not cheap though..

I don't have a celebration coin but I do have a near perfect celebration gray check cloth interior, seats, panels, carpet, etc., that I've been saving for just the right car.

Hi Guys,

special to Alfa GTA:
I bought mine from an Austrian Guy named Walter Traxler. He is a well know seller from al kind of Porsche memorabilia. He is every year on the Techno Classica in Essen Germany. At that time, to my suprise, he had severall coins for sale. This year im mai, he had one available in his stuff.
You can reach him at: walter@traxler.co.at.
By the way: I paid 250 euro’s for the coin. ( with a smile...) It was the last thing i was missing at my late ‘87 Celebration.

Ha! +1 forgot about Walter, I’ve purchased stuff from him before and if he doesn’t have it he’ll know someone who does. Here’s the info I have for him from my phone contacts:

Walter Traxler, Telephone 0043 794 274 6144, Mobile 0043 664 430 6000, eMail trixtrax@aon.at

good luck!

^^^^^^^^^ those are the much smaller 'Calendar Coins or tokens, not the Jubilee / Celebration medallion, which are the size of the cup-holder cutout on the glovebox door. These came issued with the Annual Porsche wall-hanger calendar instead of with the '88 year only, Jubilee series of special Porsches

Your 1988 Indy car Porsche coin is on Ebay for $14.99 and nobody has bought it yet, so I'd say a fair value is between $5 and $10.

Getting closer to purchase of a Zermatt silver '88 Celebration Edition, but still no coin. Checked a while back with the contacts listed above. Any new leads?
