excellent craftsmanship, however, i have some concerns regarding the functionality of the headlamp louver. it will not create any sort of "ram-air" effect. (trust me, i've been studying flow regimes for a while now) depending on how the system is plumbed, you may have created a less resistive intake for the turbo to "pull" air from. the best you can hope for would be improved spool up characteristics.

Correction-- not really a ram air effect but definitely a provision for a cool, fresh air flow to the intake rather than the hot underhood air. Thanks for the clarification.

It might just be the picture. The height from the middle of the wheels to the top of the wheel well are the same at all four corners. Of course, the rear of our cars does look higher anyway given the design.

David,
All I have to say is your car is just beautiful! Now this is coming from an 18 year old kid who is saving up for a Guards Red 951. Your car is exactly what I want mine to look like when I get one, hopefully soon. Really, I have to say that your 951 is the nicest I have seen. Thank you for helping me to realize how great these cars are and how much I really want one. Gotta love these German cars.
Awesome work!

The Van Zweeden wing was a bit of a challenge to install. I did all my test fitting prior to painting. The wing was held in place with clear packaging tape prior to drilling the hole through the mounting tab from inside the hatch. Prior to drilling, I made sure all the parts fit together with the tape, and actually, the middle trim piece had to be shortened by about 1/2 inch. All three trim pieces are only glued on, no hardware. I used the 5200 3M Marine adhesive available in Lowes. The center trim piece is primarily glued at its leading edge onto the windshield and at the tabs to the side trim, and a little where the bottom touches the latch rubber. I installed the wing prior to any gluing of the trim, as the trim hides the single mounting tab of the wing, which does line up with one of the existing holes from the stock wing. I did have to drill the hole larger to accept a 1/4 inch by 1 inch flat head bolt and lock nut underneath. Prior to drilling the fiberglass tab on the wing, mark it with a scratch or marker to be sure it is centered on the tab. Once it was all painted, I screwed the wing on and then taped the trim pieces into place again. Then I removed one trim piece at a time to apply the glue. I did glue the trailing top edge of the side trim to the bottom rear third of the wing as well. This glue was then touched up with some paint after drying. I did the entire job with no assistance. I can be done. And I have no prior painting or bodywork experience. The paint was purchased from Paintworldinc.com and was a great match.
