Default Tires! Who Do You Like?

I'm getting close to purchasing a new set. I'm a 'round town driver and want nice smooth ride with as little "tire noise "as possible on the interstate. Thanks! Joe

I like my Yokohama ES100's. Very quiet, good grip, great price.

I hear that, I'm going to need a set pretty soon too. All-seasons opinions for me.

Year round driving. In the South it gets a little hot, but not too cold.

Anyone have experiene with the Yokohama AVS dB S2? I am looking to replace my very old Pirelli P6's.

Rather than get 195-65-15's, i think i am going to go for 205-60-15's.

I do like the look of Yoko's but I have S-03's on mine d/t the fact that they were rated better for what I use them for... which currently is for sitting in a garage under a cover ;-)

I highly recommend the S-03's. They stick nearly as well as my old Yoko A008R track tires and they work pretty well in the wet too.

S-03s are excellent. Very good grip on the track and VERY good wet traction...I run into 2" of water and don't even notice. No hydroplaning on 255s and they stick almost as well as they do in the dry. A bit on the pricey side though, but worth it IMO for what you get. I do hear good things about those Yokos though too, and they're a good bit cheaper.

For the $$ you can't go wrong with the Yoko ES100, Kumho MX, or even the SO2/3 if you want to spend a little more.

dunlop sp8000's
- perfect for FL weather
- great price
- nice chunky tread blocks for dry grip
- very good wear after 3000 miles
- i'll probably buy them again

I didn't like the Dunlop SP8000's when I had them on my 944S2.

I do like the Pirelli P4000's for street, and the P-Zero C's for track.
