Default Porsche 924 Cooling Problem

I have a 1987 Porsche 924 and it has an engine cooling problem. The regular cooling fan does not come on. I changed the thermosensor and no difference. I have a cooling system light on the dash. I can get the regular cooling fan to come on if I jumper around the thermosensor. Both fans come on when the AC is turned on. But under regular conditions, I have no initiation of the regular cooling fan. Thoughts?

Check your fan relay.

Your thermosensor (I'm assuming you are referring to the thermoswitch in the radiator) could still be bad, right? If the fan comes on when you jumper it, but not when the temperature should cause it to close, that seems like a reasonable culprit...

I realize you said you changed it but if it's working right, it should act exactly like you jumpered it...

I really appreciate the assist. Yes, I was speaking of the thermoswitch in the radiator...which is brand new. There is a procedure for testing it...I will try that first. Thanks
