944.1 rear badge placement
Wonder if anyone can help with the measurement of the location.Have scoured the manuals available on line looking for the placement measurements to locate the rear badge.
Would someone with a ruler mind sharing?
Much obliged

Are you talking about the "944" on rear passenger side? Probably the same as the "turbo" script: starts flush with taillight inner edge and centred on panel

No, it's not flush with the edge of the taillight, it's over a bit.
I can measure mine tonight, which may or may not be perfectly accurate.

Kurt R is correct: I just checked out some brochures and clearly the 944 badge is placed differently than the turbo badge..
To me, it looks like the first "4" is centred on the first dividing line of the light cluster

The bottom of my "944" is about 1" above the bend in the panel. Maybe 1 1/16. I measured to the bottom of the 9, I think it's slightly curved, just make sure it is level. Open the hatch, put a level there and then jack the low side of the car until it is level. Then you'll know it's right.
The tip of the last 4 is 1 3/8" from the seam between the rear and the 1/4 panel.
It does appear the middle "4" is centered on the line between the brake light and backup light.
Could someone else measure theirs to confirm? This is on a race car, and who knows if it has been repaired there.
