Default Sunroof problem

I posted this on NASIOC and everyone there seems to be quite dumb

So i figured i would post this here and even though you guys dont know my car that well, you guys can give me suggestions on what the problem can be

Anyway heres the post:

When ever i close my door on my 2000 RS my sunroof pops up about 1/4 of an inch and slaps back down again....its really starting to bother me. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

~Leor

This is the kind of sunroof that slides up and back over the roof.

Thanks for the help

i had a 99 eclipse and the little bolts that hold the sunroof to the frame came loose and it would do that. The real reason is from the cabin pressure when you close the door, the pressure pops the roof up.

And this is the wonderful insight i get from NASIOC:

"in my WRX when i pop the trunk and close the door, the trunk moves up more" - some dumbass that shouldnt be driving

Tighten any bolts relating to the sunroof. That's all I can think of. I'm pretty sure mine pops up a little when I close the doors, but I don't worry about it; it never leaks or anything.

Yea, thats the plan of action so far, but were not sure if its a seal maybe, or a motor, or something.

When I was in the market for 944 turbos, i went to see one and when i shut the dorr, the sunroof completly just popped up at least an inch or more.

Is it the whole sunroof or just one end?
