just got a ticket for making a U turn!
damn it.
I thought it was ok to make this turn, but the pig didnt think so.
He was right next to me. ive done this U turn before with a pig next to me and never got pulled over.
heres a drawing including which lights were red or green:

there are NO "no u turn" signs or anything.
the road between the gas station and the Apts is the entrance to a neighborhood

Do i have a chance?

if all you say is true, then it sounds like you may have a case.
Be careful with the name calling, there are police officers on this board, and they surely would be offended by your referance to them as pigs. We don't like getting tickets, but most of them are just doing their job. Remember, they do other stuff too, like arrest people that would break into your house etc. Of course there are the lousy ones, but its not fair to classify them all as pigs. I don't like the police, but not because they are bad people (usually) but because their job is to prevent me from doing things i love doing.
The point is, just be careful with the name calling.

depends on if you consider a u turn the same as a left. I think that light is for turning into the neighbor hood

you made a left turn on a red. whether into the neighborhood or a u-turn, they are both turns. you screwed yourself buddy, i'd pay the ticket, do traffic school or whatever, and stop referring to them as pigs, as after all this one was just doing his job.

OK well how do i get out of it?
I didnt run through the red light, as in across traffic.i was turning into the flow of traffic(not that there was any)
i dont have time for the traffic school bs.
yeah well he could have gave me a warning coudlnt he? had to make the u turn to get in to my apts.
Not saying anyting out loud that most people dont already think, theres no crime around here, they just wait in the middle of the road to pull people over when quota time rolls around.

Dude, I don't know the traffic laws in your state, but turning left on a red - U-turn or not - is against the law here...

Is there a turn arrow there at that light? Didn't think so. Guilty as charged! Come on.......take responsibility for your actions, don't take out your failings and screw ups on someone else. "pigs"..........you'll sing a different tune sometime in your life if/when you figure out why we have cops out there for, and what all they really do!

yeah, not trying to bust your ***** or anything man, but if you do something questionable like that you will most likely get pulled, esp. in a p-car. i doubt you can do anything about it. as to why he gave you a ticket, maybe because he felt like it, maybe because he needed to meet quota, maybe for no good reason at all. basically my point is, dont do anything you could get pulled over for, and you won't get pulled over.

yeah i sorta though about it before i went, but Ive never heard any one say you cant turn, and ive always done it since its the only way to get the the entrance of my apts and theres no signs saying anything. There werent any lights in that area a few years ago, it was much better then.
