I want new bulbs because I just have some cheap sylvania ones but I have no idea what to look for as far as better or worse bulbs.

Brett, you need to be a bit more specific on what you need. Do you use H4 headlight bulbs in your lenses? Without a rewire then you want to go with 55/60 watt Philips/Narva 30% boosted at $10 each or the Osram BiLux 50% at $18 each. Both are very good bulbs you will be happy with.

Without a rewire you could try 90/100 watt bulbs @ $12 each, but you are playing with fire as to whether your switches and wiring will melt apart. We just had a thread on this that discussed the risks of 90/100 watt in stock wiring. With my headlight harness it is no problem and boosts light over 400% but with the stock wiring you have a pretty good chance of frying things.

Terry, tell me what you want. I may have a couple extra 55/60 H4s. But the order was made so you will be limited to 55/60 30% at $10 each, 55/60 50% at $18 each or 90/100 at $12 each.

Sounds like you want the 50% boosted Osrams. I have two extra if another customer decides to go 30%. They are both good bulbs.

Andrew, yes, you can smile because your order is about all together. I just need to get a big box to put everything in.

Brett, first you need to start with some Cibie E-Code lenses at $100 for a pair. I actually may be running short on these as replacements are going on a boat across the Pond so probably won't be here until March. And the way these French guys do business it wouldn't surprise me if it was August by the time I actually got them. I am really developing a hatred for the Frogs.

Then you need to pick your bulbs since I assume you are not going to go with my Full Boat lighting kit which pops lighting up over 400%. There was a thread a couple days ago where I explained bulb choices to ACG (Andrew). Go find it back a few pages, ACG started it, read it and let me know what you would like to do.

alright, I e mailed you about one of your kits a long long time ago. I am now again wondering what the prices on these kits would be around. can you send me an e mail with some info on your full kits including prices. i may actually be interested now that i have some money. and 400% lighting booste sound awfully nice.

brett@rennstuff.com

thanks.

Brett, I will lay out the general package here on the open forum so I don't keep getting asked the same questions.

I have what I call the "Full Boat" headlight package. This now goes for $369.50 in the lower 48 of the USA. Shipping is in that price.

The package includes a pair of Cibie E-Code lenses at $100.

(4) Philips/Narva 90/100 watt H4 bulbs at $48 total (a spare set of bulbs as they can be hard to find on short notice and expensive).

An adjustable voltage regulator with brushes at $16.50. It is set to 14.4 volts as opposed to 14.0v and brings up the battery much faster and takes that load off the system to improve overall system voltage.

The real heart, my wiring harness. $185. It is "plug and play" and is built like a brick $hit house. Just read threads in Rennlist to see what people have to say about the construction and components. I could tell you all about the various factors in this harness but I'll just pass it on to customers to tell their observations.

With the Full Boat kit you will probablly jump well over 400% in lighting increase, but I don't want to pimp this too much. The code I live under is under promise and over deliver.
