Default Sport Seats?

Which do you have: Porsche factory sport seats (circa 1987) or aftermarket seats by Manufacturers such as Recaro, Sparco or MOMO?

Why did you choose the seat you did?

Also - Looking to buy a set of used Sport Seats, prefer factory- and I know how much they generally sell for.

So which do you have?

Damian, I would absolutely love to get a pair of those gorgeous seats.

Unfortunately that would seriously cut into my "Paul wants almost everything Lindsey Racing sells" fund.

Nice car!

Iv got Corbeau GTS black cloth sport seats. There are priced pretty competivly, fit in well with my car and were the most comfterable and hugging seat for me size (6'7") I am very happy with them but the bolts were covered by the seat so it took me about 2 hours to tighten down all 8 bolts. Iv got a photo here:

I went with the sparco sprint. They are really light, look great and they are reasonably priced. I'm also a fairly thin guy 6' 150lbs; and these seats fit me fantastically. I didn't believe how much people said the stock 8way power seats weighed until I pulled one of them out... It's true they are SUPER heavy compared to the new ones.

I have Corbeau Targa RS seats, and I love them. My only complaint is that they are fading already, but it's nice and safe, sitting in a garage for once. I got them because they are priced VERY reasonably and look great!

Paul, if I ever find a nice set of 968 Clubsport seats with Speed Yellow backs I'll sell them to you!

Didn't Recaro make the stock seats for Porsche?

I have Recaro Pole Position buckets. They're almost identical to those used in 968CS (I believe the seatbacks are different, mine are flat, CS seats have those cross figures there). Reason, they fit my wide *** super comfortably.

Yes I beleive they did Christian -
I wonder then if theres a possibility of contacting them and letting them know how big a market there would be for OEM Style sport seats.

Suggestions?

Damian - I'm going to hold you to that offer!!!!

i've got the early sport seats, they're a bit better than late standard seats, but they look way cooler. iirc, all our seats are made by recaro. the sports just hold you much better than the non-sports.

I just have the regular old non-sport seats. I do plan on getting some factory sport seats in the future though.

Regular non sport seats. I'd love to have factory sport seats but with a blue interior my chances of finding a pair are just above zero.

And yes, the standard and sport seats are made by Recaro. When I recovered my 85.5's seats the frames have 'Recaro' stamped on them.

Sparco Torino that replaced my Porsche sport seats. Not as comfortable as the stock seats. Too small for a larger framed person. I miss all the adjustments on my stock seats too.
