I still have the stock "Comfort Seats" in my car. I'd love the look of the factory sport seats and plan to get them someday, although i have yet to sit in one I'm a pretty big guy so thats my only concern....Ive heard big guys dont fit well in factory seats. There's a nice set sitting at my fiances parents house(In a 968) that i was meaning to sit on over break, i just forgot about it!

My vote it for the Factory Sports!

Factory sport seats in my 944 -- fit me nice and snug (I'm only 5'10", 140lbs).

I have a set of DAD seats and they were dead cheap or I wouldnt have bought them. After struggling with mounting and then deciding it was going to have to be custom rails, I wouldnt buy them again.

Hate the factory sport seats.

If I did it again, there would be one Sparco America and one Sparco Junior. Reason, I am FAT and my wife is tiny. BTW - if any of you are big, the America is about the only way to go and still have any room to breath.

In the 4 951's that have graced my driveway I have had 3 different sets of factory non-sport seats, a set of sport seats and 2 sets of pro-2000s....

If you drive the car on a daily basis the pro 2000s are a bit too agressive, the side bolsters are huge and make ingress and egress a bit harder, but on the plus side they do hold you in place like nothing else. I'm not a small guy a 6'3 190lbs and these seats were tight on me, but I liked them that way.

Factory sport seats, I have always loved, and hold me in place fairly well for non race buckets.

Factory sport seats, are comfortable I guess, but overall the support and grip just leave them as my last choice....

If I could have unlimited funds I would have the GT-3 Recaros in cloth, but they are 1500 a seat....

There are a lot of nice seats out there I would say that really need to sit in them to be sure that you fit your body type.

Factory Sport Seats, just a touch too narrow for my 6' 200lb frame. Someday when I'm rich and famous, I'll pick up a set of silver backed 993 sport seats as I love the feel and look of them.

Ian, good advice - and thanks on the info about the Pro 2000's. I'm going to visit a local speed shop and sit in some seats to see what I like.
I'd like to be able to use a 5 point harness and I don't beleive that the Factory Sport seats will allow that, though I might be wrong - someone here will know that.

I have the factory non-sport seats in my car right now. I have a set of factory sport seats that could use recovering or a good cleaning. I can not make up my mind what to do either recover the factory sport seats in black leather or buy a set of race seats in black leather. Recovering the seats would be a lot cheaper but they don't look as cool.

These polls are flawed - I've got both types of seats, and can only select one! I like the sport seats better, as I tend to drive aggressively.

My 951 had perfect factory leather sport seats. I was happy to sell for all the money. I was able to get a set of Sparco Milanos in black and grey Alcantara. The Sparcos fit great, are more comfortable hold my fat *** in the car better and provide more adjustment with a roll bar installed.

I added a Cobra Suzuka GT (GT being for bid A--) for racing. Still change back to stock when not racing; to many wrinkles in the suit!

The Cobra "Technology" seats are incredible. the insulation is the same as the space shuttle uses and forms to your body. I sat in a couple at a PCA event and they are great but costly. Also Koenig make a great seat that's duel purpose track or street.

eBay's always been a great source.

Default Konig Seats

Hey Dave, thanks for the information. I looked into Konig and they make some nice looking seats. Unfortunately they don't list a price on any of them (you know what that means).
Check these out:
Hardshell option CPK 700

K5000 Sport Seats

Classic S50 similar to Factory Sport

I didn't know these were out there - anyone know how much they cost? I could only find info at Konig's website

Dual Sparco Evo 2's , Navy Blue

comfort is a toss up between these and the leather non-sport seats they replaced

I have the factory sport seats (heated even!) in the car, and a spare set in storage... I love them, and they fit me perfectly... but I am going to be putting a set of Recaro's in the car in the spring as I need the "Helmet" room.

Guess I will be doing a lot of seat swapping over the summer!

I have the heated factory sport seats in my 928GT and love them for the compromise between sport and comfort.

If I had a track car I'd go with a pair of light bucket seats of some sort.

fantic,
Do a search on the K5000 seats. There is a Rennlister who had them in his car. I don't remember his name but he had the white S2 cab with the 968 rear end.....

There were about $800/seat last time I looked at them.
