Default Just weighed my car...

I took my car to the scales for the first time and it weighed 3060 lbs. It's an '89 Turbo. That's with 1/3 tank of gas, no rear seat back (20 lbs.), but with the spare, tools and air pump, 18" rims with New continental ECS tires-235 in front and 275 in rear, FG front splitter.

I was always curious how accurate the 2996 specified weight was. I guess it sounds about right with the addition of the 18" wheels, etc.

I've always been curious of my cars weight also. What "scales" were you able to get it weighed on?

Not a Porsche but my Tacoma weights 3700 lbs with a half a tank of gas. I was taking scrap metal to the scrap yard and you get weighed entering and exit the the yard.

Those scales at truck stop can weigh you too, for $12. That's what charge my son for a 18 wheeler.

years ago i weighed my NA at a scrapyard (on the way out... )...all metal/glass body, full interior, working AC, full tank of gas (~17 gal), tools and junk in the trunk, 15" BBS mesh wheels...3000 lbs, with me in it (230 or so at the time).

did the math and without gas, junk in the trunk, or me it was a bit over 2600 empty.

I weighed it at the same CAT scale that's in the picture above, just a different city, for $11.50

My 89 S2 with a decent amount of sound deadening in it and 8 way power seats up front and the rest of the interior in it is 3020.

Wilson is going to be a pig with the Turbo Stuff & overbuilt roll cage. Total guess 3200 lbs without driver and with full tank.
