Progress on the second halves of the molds...

I'll build up the fiberglass to 0.1875"- 0.250" and add bracing before removing them from the chassis.

+1, also looking for headlight cover NACA duct remote oil cooler for right side and NACA duct for air intake for left side

Doesn't GT Racing offer something like that? I'm sure I've seen them before.

I have a mould for a complete headlight and header panel combo but nothing for individual lights on hand.

When I get started on the side skirts, I'll record the entire process and post it on the YouTube channel. A new tripod just arrived for the cause.
Because of the messy nature of working with composites, I don't have many opportunities to grab pics. What's been posted to this point are pics generally taken at the end of the day or first thing in the AM.

All that is left to complete on the moulds is to add bracing across the wheel arches. They are then ready to pull off of the chassis.

We've had one hell of a heat wave recently in the Chicago area. As I know much of the country has experienced at one time or another this year. I have to admit, it's slowing me down. Because the area I'm working in has to be well ventilated when laying up the glass, using the A/C is out. Thankfully the weather is going to cool down for the next few days and I can finish these moulds up.

I was able to trim the flanges that mate the two halves of the moulds and drill holes for fasteners. In addition, the tubing that will be used to brace the wheel arch openings is cut to length and ready for install. Tomorrow that should be knocked out.

Have not seen NACA ducted headlight cover for right side to cool remote engine oil cooler, I have a intake cold box design for left side, not a NACA ducted headlight cover

Draw out a replica of the duct on the left one that you have and transfer it to the stock RH side steel cover.

Use a dremel with a cut off wheel and cut along pattern except for the one high end (depends on duct, I'd have to see it) that you will use as a hinge point.

Bend cut section to desired depth and tack sidewalls with 16 gauge sheet metal.

I did one of these 15 years ago, have pics but not at work.

Nothing to it really.

Hello again everyone, I appreciate your patients.

If some of you haven't seen or heard on other media. I now have a Project Nine YouTube channel to provide more content and instructional videos for the installation of Project Nine products.

Since my last post, I've taken a couple months off to complete a build out on my new shop. It's now complete and some of my equipment has found the way over there. The extra space was much needed.

Days after completing the new shop, it was time to ready my racer for the trip to SEMA. Under wraps since winning its designation as a Hot Wheels Legend, it was time for a polish before sending it off to Vegas.
The entire trip to Vegas and SEMA with the racer is documented for your viewing pleasure. I'm quite a novice with this vlogging gig...but its coming together.

Making a mess.
Yeah, so removing the moulds isn't the prettiest process.

The moulds are all in great shape and ready to be cleaned up before waxing. The edges will be trimmed and any imperfections addressed. Then I use four coats of a premium mould release wax on a fresh piece.

Woah! Awesome front fender!....Hell, the entire car looks well thought out.

I'm not developing these fenders for a particular project. But, my personal 944 racer is no longer a slant 4, I've moved to the LS.

Are you still running the 4?
