How many track days, DE’s have you done or are you planning to do?
Is it a mainly street or track car?

Probably 4-5 DE's but mostly an everyday summer car.

The info in Clark’s Garage still applies, it’s what I followed when I first tracked my car. I initially went with Welt 220 lb front springs, 27 mm torsion bars combined with 968 M030 30 mm front and 19 mm rear sway bar. I also fitted new adjustable Koni front inserts and rear dampers, camber plates and I replaced all the suspension bushes with either harder rubber or poly. I drove it on the street and track for a few years with that spec until the car was dedicated to the track and I went to full coil-over.

$2995, the other option did not exist when I bought mine. I recommend you call Lindsey, they are pretty good helping over the phone

If you have not replaced the struts and shocks do them first. If its mainly a street car start with the bushings and replace them all with new rubber. There are "sport" hardness options for most locations.

Next go to sway bars, M030 front and rear is perfect.

If its still not stiff enough and you have a tolerance for a harsher ride, then go for springs and torsion bars.

I would recommend doing this in stages, you don't want to take the plunge and spend a bunch of money going full coilover with stiff springs to realize that you hate it.

^ - that's good advice. And if at all possible see if you can find local people with setups you are considering so that you can experience the difference yourself. There is no better way to know what works best for you when it's a balance between comfort and performance. Especially when it's on the same roads that you drive on. Local PCA is a great place to start.

Great advice guys. I like the thought of doing it in stages. As for the M030 sway bars in front & rear, is there only 1 size option for those? Do you have any p/n's?

There are different sizes of M030 spec depending on year or model, na, S2, turbo or 968 are all different. I think when referring to sways here posters generally mean the 968 M030 which was 30mm front and 19mm rear. Here’s a link to them at a Lindsey Racing.

You guys are ****ing crazy to spend $1500-3000 on shocks.

mostly street car, go with What MAGK944 listed out.

or slightly softer like i have, 200# Front, 26mm torsion, 25.5/18mm sways, Boge/Sachs shocks. I Got all my springs and sways for about $400 all in, shocks another $450 iirc. Handles great, rides acceptably well on most roads.
