Default 944 on Ebay?

alright. my freind is looking into a 944 or 924S cuz after he rode with me on the track, he's hooked. Anyway, I wanna point him in the direction of this car. its' an 84 944, GOREGOUS exterior.

2 points I noticed:
the guy has it listed as having 2076 or so miles, but I bet it's more like 102067.

doesn't say about the timing belt.

so I emailed the guy about the timing belt.

You guys think it's a good thing to bid on?

If that car is as good as it seems I'd jump on it! Looks like if the seller wants quite a bit of money though.. And you are probably correct about the miles.

Seems to be missing the tool kit and air compressor, or am I missing something from the pics?

I agree on it not being a big deal, but it sure is wierd how those small things always seems to be missing..

I never liked the pre 1985.5 interior, though I did like the 944. When the new interior was introduced, I was first in line to buy a 1985.5 944. That was a fantastic car.

Still, this could be a great car for someone - depending on price.

I've always liked the older style interior...but yeah, the newer style is soooo cool. I like the dashboards like Eyal's where it's black on top and tan on bottom. it looks so plush and soft when it's clean...oooo..cargasm.

Anyway, the only thing I personally don't like about this particular 944 is the yellow gauges. I've never liked that on any 944, and I like the white that my 924S has. but still it'd make a helluva car for my friend.

but of course!

then again...I kinda have a ricey exhaust tip too... I wasnt' able to pick the one to fit my new exhaust, so I asked the guy to pick one that looked similar to the OEM one...of course, he goes and picks the shiniest, roundest exhaust tip that is glass-packed and even has those little holes in the inside of it. I hate the tip, but it was a freebie cuz I didn't like it. so until I feel I have money to spend on a new one, the rice one has to stay

but it doesn't look TOO bad...

he says it has the original tools, and you can see the jack in the pic with the spare tire

hehehe...he detailed the spare tire...dork.

It also has that turnkey alarm system that Porsche put on these cars. Anyone else have one? use it? is it good?

apart from the driver's door seam separation, it's a really pretty car.

I've got the turnkey alarm, its OK. Its not even comparable to todays alarm systems though. I think the alarm only goes off if the drivers door is opened while the alarm is on.
